Hi there, my drivers side window has failed in the down position. I can here the motor when I press the switch as if the window wants to come up but no movement, anyone help with a diagnosis or experience the same issue? Thanks Nathan
Hi Nathan, I have not had this happen myself but if you can hear the motor running, I would say that it is not an electrical issue. It may be that some part of the mechanism itself has broke or become detached. It may be a case of whipping the door card off and looking to see if there is anything obvious.
Thanks Neil, yep found that the wire on the regulator has snapped so needs a new motor and regulator, found plenty for sale for the passenger side but no joy yet for the drivers side. Managed to get the window up so least we are now dry!
Nope it feeds into an internal unit on the regulator which is sealed. Should be an easy fix and not expensive once I have sourced the part
Bummer, Just don't try and drop your window again until you get it sorted. Or even your roof for that matter as that will try to drop the windows.
