Hello Ladies and Gentlemen Well, the Copen wedding of the century took place on Saturday. It was a FABULOUS wedding and the bride was beautiful, the champagne flowed, the weather smiled on us, everyone had a great time (12 hours of celebrations!!!) So PROUD and happy!! I have a new daughter and she is really lovely. )) MLC, the 10 year old Copen was the wedding car!!!!!!!! It took the newly-wed couple from the church to the reception. I was so proud after all my pimping efforts - the little car looked fab, but, I must admit, not as beautiful as the young couple...so lovely that I had to shed a tear. God, it's tough being an old git Anyway, the groom drove and the bride, who had a really beautiful dress, fitted in with NO problem. I feel sooooo happy to have a new daughter-in-law. Another Mrs Badger! Time for a reflection on the succession of the generations...I got married to Mrs Old Badger in 1976 (twice in fact, once in a register office in Camberwell and once in a church in Wejherowo in Poland on December 25th, when the snow was 3 metres deep.....) And here we are, thirty eight years later, with three children, two of whom are married...waiting for grandchildren. Such is life on the Copenworld forum. Glad to know all of you. Now, once I work out how to do it I will publish the pictures.... Best regards everyone Old Badger
The Copen makes a great wedding car, it's looking fab! Glad the weather held out for you all, wouldn't have been the same with the roof up!
AH OB! Your MLC looked amazing and super duper as the wedding car, the Bride and Bridesmaids absolutely beautiful and is that your son driving the copen? I love hearing of being married for so long, I can only hope the same. My grandparents will celebrate 65 years of marriage in 2 years! My youngest sister was born in 1992 - even that makes me feel old! lol
Of course, they are round here anyway - have you never been to an Essex wedding. We don't get that orange glow without a bit of polishing
Wow, Badger - this is immense!! What an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G day! You all had terrific weather for it, perfect for MLC and your beaming son and gorgeous new Mrs. Badger; I see you managed to get the renowned tonneau cover into place - well done! MLC looked terrific and everyone was obviously captivated by the whole thing. 38 years together - that's wonderful - and we're only five years behind you ... roll on the patter of tiny feet!! The whole of Copenworld celebrate this momentous day with the Badger family - what a privilege! Now time for a bit of a time for chilling - what will Mrs. Badger do now that all the planning is over and done with? Your one remaining unmarried youngster had better look out!
Excellent use of a Copen! What a beautiful bride! Looks like it was an amazing day - congrats to all! I think perhaps for a non 'big fat gypsy wedding' the Copen IS the best choice of wedding accessory. Thanks for sharing the pictures -
