Anyone know of a drop in replacement for the stock speakers in the copen? I don't wanna have to do random crap like make a collar or drill holes, etc.

I have fitted some Pioneer TS-R1750S and they fit without modifications(might need different screws so they hold better). But if you do not want to insulate the inside of your doors you will not have much fun with new speakers. Its basically a must :D

I'm ok with putting in some sound deadening, which I was gonna do anyway. I don't want to have a janky setup where I'm drilling into steel or making a collar out of mdf :)

Any gotchas for those pioneer speakers like having to solder anything?

I took apart the plastic connector that fits the OEM speakers so I could fit the cable shoes that are inside the connector to the new speakers. It was a 100% fit, no soldering required and you can put the connectors back on later as they can be taken apart without damage

The worst job was to put on the sound deadening. You have to do the inside of the doors and replace the plastic moisture barrier with something more sturdy also, so it does not flap around when you turn up the volume
