Hi, I have just got a Copen. It is wearing original 15 inch wheels with winter tires. Preparing summer tires for next spring, I’d like to have Daihatsu original option wheels in 16 inch. Anyone have an idea where I can order them new in Germany and how to get TÜV approval for this? I’ve tried few dealers in list of daihatsu.de but got negative so far. On the other hand, Is there someone likes to sell refurbished for reasonable price? Kind Regards Ampanman
I'm not aware of any 16" wheels they offered as an original option - the BBS on the Ultimate Edition were 15" and I don't think they're made anymore, there's quite a few similar designs though. 15" BBS RX280 4.5j x15 45offset

Sounds pretty good. I’ve found them in a list of agent at daihatsu.de site. I’ll call them and ask their support. Thank you very much for your super advise.
Looking nice. Also, I like Bilstein sticker I’d like to wear 195/40 on 16” Thank you very much for your suggestion.
Very interesting and fun to walk around there as well. I just touched a little but I saw many wheels and tires. I’ve add to my bookmark bar quickly. Thank you very much for super info.
What I meant was I don't believe the Copen ever had 16" wheels from Daihatsu. The new Copen has 16" option, the original only had 15" I'm not sure you're going to get that size on without a fair bit of work. This is a list of sizes from the german forums that might help.
There were 16" wheels available, but if I recall correctly only on the german market (100th anniversary edition) See here: Zum Geburtstag veredelt: Daihatsu Copen 100th Anniversary
I never even knew about that one, I thought it was a mistake at first and it meant the 10th Anniversary Edition! Very interesting! Does anyone know the width and offset of those wheels, and whether there were any changes made to the Copen such as a steering limiter?
From what I could find, they are 6Jx16 ET43 and the model is "Rial Flair" Anpanman: Schonmal im micro-roadster forum gefragt? Dort sind nur deutsche Leute, die können dir evtl. besser weiterhelfen
Thank you for info. I did not know this site that micro-roadster near here, I’ll take a walk around. While I’m studying about this, I found Daihatsu offered 16” wheels also as official option as well.
Yeaah!, This is one I saw. I like this. It looks for me a bit more than little K-car..., I agreed with comment “16-inch chrome-gloss rims with 195/40 R 16 tires provide a sportier look and additional cornering performance”. in your link stated. I did not think this is only available in limited country within Euro land but I wonder it’s possible, I’m not sure.
Some x-Daihatsu workshop that I contacted few did not recommend to do upsizing, They say it’s not easy... I wish it’s not too difficult because Daihatsu had officially sold many Copen on the road as standard and as options. I need learn about it more..... This is a part of official option catalog for 16" wheels with tires or without. I wonder what is actually "Anbauteille"
Wunderbar !! It’ very difficult to find them as Daihatsu parts but I see there are more Rial product. I found it called “FL606ET43/S4” from Rial.de. Thank you for your great hint. But I assume there is still a big theme of TÜV certificate in Germany. . I have visit micro-roadster.de and registered my self. There are a lot of information all about Copen in mostly in German, of cause... I need to learn more Copen in Germany and learn more German as well, I think I can slowly manage together with Professor Google . Thank you for your advice. Dankeschön
I’d suggest seeing how you like the ride with the less compliant summer tyres on 15” rims first. Trading 1” of rubber and air for bigger rims on most cars is sometimes uncomfortable and on the Copen is likely to make you very familiar with your local chiropractic
Anbauteile are stuff like Schrauben, Distanzscheiben and Federwegsbegrenzer, but i do not know what you would need for these wheels exactly. If its an original Daihatsu OEM wheel Tüv should not be a problem. You location says germany, but you are not german then?
