That's brilliant. Only ever seen it on a D Sport show car. First one I've seen actually in use in the real world. Any chance of a photo underneath your Copen to see how the tow bar was fitted?
Always wanted a tow bar, however in a couple of fiting centres that I enquired, I been told it would be illegal in the UK, as no approved kit exists. Shame.
Thanks that would be great to show some tow bar people over here. By the way Sydney is probably our most favourite in the world, been there 3 times now, seen and done loads including the bridge climb, awesome experience for someone who has an issue with heights!
Hi, here are some pics of the towbar on how its attached inside. Hopefully, you can see the nuts and steel plate
Thanks thats interesting. The tow bar frame is bolted with backing plates to the skin of the boot bottom. Not to any sub chassis structure?
thays about right... I brought the car like that and was informed by previous owner that it was installed by a Towbar company who customised the towbar and the fittings. I was also informed there is a 50kg limit when putting things in the trailer (whish is small and compact). The previous owner got this installed to carry small luggage/bags when going up to the winery (Hunter Valley) and to carry a few boxes of wine as he like to drive up with the Top down. I also use the Towbar for a bike rack. Overall, its not meant to carry heavy loads... cheers
