    Hi Harvey,

sorry for the late reply but I just returned from a holiday.

Can only tell you how I got my UK Copen registered in Germany:
Bought the Copen from a Daihatsu dealership in UK and asked for the CoC-document for that car. The dealer got it from Daihatsu UK (I hope there is a successor company in UK you could talk to?). The CoC definitely was necessary for registering the car in Germany (and it should be recognised in all of the EU).

Headlights, fog and reversing light (for right-side traffic) I actually bought in the UK as new parts from Daihatsu (cheaper than in Germany). You might be able to get these parts from scrap-Copens in France?

In addition I also had to do a fresh MOT in Germany.

That's all I had to do in Germany, unfortunately I do not know the detailed requirements in France (but my hope is, as these are EU regulations, same apply in France).

Please keep us posted about your progress.

    Andreas

    Hi Andreas
Thanks for your help. I contacted Daihatsu UK via their website and they are brilliant. I confirmed my reg and proof of identity and they are sending me a COC free of charge. They also gave me the part numbers for the headlights that I need to buy to conform to French law to get my CT .
Not sure about fog lights though? Any ideas?
    Harvey

Glad, that Daihatsu UK still is able to help, and even free of charge, wow! :D

For the fog lights: I did not need to change them to get my Copen registered in Germany.
