Hello, I’m looking for a Daihatsu Copen Automatic please, or all the parts from an automatic Copen that I can transfer into a manual Copen. Has anybody ever transfred a Copen manual to a Copen Automatic? Thank you! YEAH!
Yes, I think your right, they only sold them in Japan, but over the years I have seen one or two Jap Imports Copen autos for sale in the UK! If I can't get a Copen auto a Suzuki Cappunicco Automatic would do if you know of any for sale in the UK please. Thanks! YEAH!
It's going to be like finding rocking horse poo. In all the years I've been in the Copen scene I've never seen a Copen Automatic. I'm also an ex-Cappuccino owner & was a member of ClubCappo. I did see a few import versions, but again I never saw an auto version.
I am driving an AT Copen. As our Copens are imported from Japan, we do have a fair bit of AT units here too.
I cant help but feel that an auto one would be a little less fun - never found gears tricky when learning to drive.
I think there are a couple of guys who intend (or had done it) to convert their manual ride into auto on the "Club Copen Singapore" group. They might be able to help you.
If anybody is in the St Austell area Cornwall I know they are like hens teeth to find but I have an Automatic / Tiptronic and as far as fun to drive arn.'t all Copen fun to drive And for the single lanes down here in the West Country a perfect size I usually change vehicles every two years but I will be keeping this little cracker
Wow, congrats! Is it the new or the original Copen? If it's the original one it's the only one in Europe I heard of. Should have known before, visited Cornwall last year, could haved dropped by to say hello. Andreas PS: And just in case you change your mind in two years time please let me know.
Andreas (sooty} it is original 2003. Imported at Christmas so only showing as a one owner in/on the UK documents. Very good on miles per gallon having driven 350miles on a single tank So I would like to find out how that compares with a manual. Not that I want a manual very happy with the mighty little midget.
