    Hi All,

Considering a Copen as a 2nd car, but knowing my wife, I might not get any opportunity to drive it.

Are there any South African Copen owners who can offer local advise and experience.

    Kind thanks,

Wellcome Guy. Wonderfull little car. Rattles and stiff suspension, but it all changes when the top is down. Mechanicals I believe is similar to Toyota Yaris (Toyota owns 51% of Daihatsu) Only air filter is Daihatsu only. I promiss you it draws more attention than a Ferrari! I have lots of info I can share.

The 1.3L uses the Yaris engine. The 660cc is Daihatsu specific

    Welcome Guy.
I'm from Cape Town and own a Copen for almost 5 years.
We only got the 1.3, K3-ve (same as the Toyota Avanza).
I've never had any major issues with the Copen and parts are available here in SA.
