    Guess who's back :p

Chris Copen's finally had his respray! I didn't go for gloss black like I said I would in my intro post, instead opted for a custom paint job- metallic black with silver flake. Looks pretty ordinary on a dull day but when the sun shines it really glitters :D

Hopefully I'll get some pics tomorrow (if anyone's interested ;)) seeing as it's clouded over already- any pics I take now really wouldn't do the paintwork justice :p

    Better late than never :)

I wish I hadn't stood so close to take some of those shots- the reflections do absolutely nothing for my figure

It was originally silver (this can be seen in the engine bay)- everything else was changed :)

In case you're wondering this respray wasn't done on a whim- the car's original paintwork was aging poorly, not to mention there were a number of rusty bits that needed to be addressed... and to be honest I was sick of being in amongst the sea of silver cars in my town :(

On a plus note it's certainly wakened the locals up being a different colour- they seem to think it's a whole new car despite it still having the same reg mark

looks good rocket girl. why didn't you paint the grill too? I think the paint work makes that look flat now.

I'm going to get a chrome grill at some point, that's why :D

That and a few other bits and bobs I've had my eye on :)

    Cheers quibbles :D

TAF, you want my honest opinion? I've never really liked the original grill that much. Even spraying it wouldn't make me like it any better :(

Thanks for the idea anyway :)

My black chrome grill would look great on your car. I got it from Sakura car on ebay (just search daihatsu copen grill). It takes about 3 months for standard shipping but is worth the wait.

Move over, that attempt is rubbish. I knocked a near professional quality one in minutes!

You can't comprehend the skill it takes to get the viewing angles of the two photos to marry up un-noticeably.

TAF your photoshop craftsmanship is absolutely flawless ;) Sorry ClareL, good attempt though! :D

That grill looks stunning on your lovely steel grey Copen, ClareL- the more I look at a chrome grill the more I want one... Magpie Syndrome I guess
