Hi all, As an new copen owner i have a question regarding swapping out the car radio ftom 1d size till 2d size. Is it so simpel as only removing the clock ? Is the iso connection/plugs standard, and will it fitt any aftermarked stereo ? Brg, Harald
Hi Harald, yes the hole create by removing the standard radio and the clock is a double DIN. When I replaced mine (with another single din) i used an adaptor harness which i got online for my wifes last car, a Toyota Aygo and it plugged straight in. It's really simple to do, have a look at the guide on the French site: la copen, les tutoriels Good luck Bruce
Hi Harald, There are a few posts on here - try searching for “double DIN” but essentially, the 2d size means you lose the clock and the small storage space. You may need an adapter but they are widely available on eBay at reasonable cost. The Pumpkin android unit seems a popular budget choice for the stereo replacement. Rob.
Thanks for info and tips! I have ordered an JVC 2din , who will arrive on monday. I will post a picture when its installed. brg, Harald
