    Hi all,

I have a problem with the hood wiring loom in the boot on my copen. It's had water in the boot and the connectors for the loom are badly corroded with the wires falling out. I'm figuring the best fix will be to get a new plug, pull out the pins and solder the wires on but I need the pin out diagram and a new plug to do this, then I can see if the ECU is ok or not...

So my questions are, please :

1/ What are the pin outs / colours for the plug?

2/ Any idea where I can get a new plug?

3/ If the ECU has gone is ECU testing the best bet at £200 or is there anywhere cheaper?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you joined the site today. How long have you had your Copen ?

About 3 months - it was poorly when I bought it, the hazards came on when you indicated, but my mechanic fixed that and got it through the MOT but now we need to fix the roof.

Had another Copen a couple of years ago, also a 600cc one and have to say driving it round in London is perfect, if only the roads were less bumpy!

I only asked because it looks like the wires have been snipped rather than water damage. My car is in the garage for the rest of this week but I may be able to photograph the connectors when I get it back. Another forum member from warmer parts may be able to do that for you beforehand.

If it's totally rubber ducked, there was a roof loom for sale on eBay a while back.
