I think whoever had this respray done was limiting his future sale market. Incase anybody is interesting in buying it. http://www.williamsmotor.co.uk/daihatsu-copen-in-cardiff-glamorgan-1834091
It's actually better than what I imagined. Though, HAVE to dress in women's clothes to drive it. Or wear a bat-man cloak and mask.
There's a member of this forum called Pinky - she's been looking for a Copen for some time - looks like the ideal car for her. Also, try googling (images) "Daihatsu Copen Pink" - it's not so unusual a respray choice as you might think. Apparently, a pink Copen was used in a TV show called "Barbie's World" - I don't know where it was shown on TV. But really, what colour would you respray it to make the Copen look like a really manly muscle car?
The Copen will never look manly. Then again it's not just the Copen, convertibles in general get tagged with the hairdresser/ woman's car snipe. I've a mate with a mgtf, the powerful 180 and it is black. He still gets the less than manly jests, he doesn't care though. Choosing any colour for my Copen I'd have it in old English white. Not manly but a nice classic convertible colour. Thinking about it if you want a car that turns heads that pink Copen with the roof down will get you more attention than most other cars on the road. Might not be for the right reasons but you'll turn heads.
Pink look better on the Copen than say a Ford Ka or VW Beetle. Not too bad, but I don't think i'd be buying it
There's a pink Beetle near where I live and it is a really bright strong shade of pink. That Copen is subtle by comparison and doesn't look bad at all. Would I drive it though.........NO!
My 21 year old daughter would as well. The car is obviously only going to appeal to the female market. I'm going to keep an eye on that dealers ad and see if he sells it quickly.
Its been on there since mid November when I got mine. I showed it the office admin woman and she would like it in pink, she has pink rulers and staplers on her desk.
