Hi everyone, About 2-3 years ago I owned a silver copen 1.3, reg SP57 TKT. Unfortunatly, the car had to go and I loved it dearly. I recently moved on to a yellow and black VX220 which I adore. But whilst out in my vx220 in Stirling the other day, I came across a silver copen like my old one. And it brought back so many great memories of my little car! Hi We know the VX220 as Opel Speedster in Germany and I think its based on the Lotus Elise. How would you compare the two cars?
Hi! yes this is correct based on the s2 elise. The vx220 is a lot quicker and handles absolutely fantastically well. But I don't believe the copen wasnt really set out for this market, the copen is a fantastic quirky car in its own way and a lot of people adore it I found when driving it. I do miss the electric roof function of the copen and the vx220 is a lot lower and harder to get into. I will defo have another copen in the future!! Love both cars but both very different
