I took my 690 turbo Copen to Formula One Autocentres for a 6 months service and they advised that one of the engine belts is perished and it would be wise to replace all the belts. However they were not able to find a belt supplier, so

    1 - Can anyone suggest/recommend a belt supplier?

2- How much should I expect to pay for the new belt(s)?

3 - How many belts are there on a 690 turbo Copen and what does each belt drive?

    Thank you,

    Chris

Sorry it looks like I should have written 660 turbo!

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
On the 660 Copen there should be two belts, small and big.
You can get them from the manufacturer Gates and the parts numbers should be the following (no guarantee):

    Gates 6276MC
    Gates 4PK690

Parts dealer or ebay would be your best bet
The belts themselves are maybe 10 quid each

There are three belts - A/C, power steering, and alternator.

Number6 is right, there are three belts according to the service manual.
I think that is pretty stupid :D

Sadly I cannot find any more parts numbers, maybe one of the belts is OEM exclusive?

Looking now at the Daihatsu Copen Owner's Manual which came with my car it says on page 12-3:

Drive belt (Alternator, water pump, power steering)

In Drive Belt Check on page 13-7 a diagram shows a belt with which the crankshaft pulley drives both the water pump and the alternator. Nothing is said or shown about a belt which drives the power steering, but perhaps Salieri is right. There are two belts, one for the water pump and alternator, and one for the power steering?

In the service manual there is a diagram and it looks like there are three belts. Maybe take a look at the engine bay yourself?

Mine only has one belt, because its a 1.3, so I cannot tell you

There are three belts, trust me. I replaced mine about a year ago as they had become cracked and broken. I got mine from Daihatsu Japan, though, so I'm unsure of the dimensions.

Looking at an old post of mine - Fan belt shredded
    Power Steering -- 3PK500
    Alternator -- 4PK685

Yes, you are right. After some peering under the bonnet this morning I can see the following:

Innermost belt closest to the engine block. 18 (or 19) 31027 > CR <

Belt leading upwards (aircon compressor drive?) Daihatsu 44318-97202 Mitsuboshi 3PK499 R12-8J

(It is Mitsuboshi - "Three Stars" - name of belt manufacturer? and not Mitsubishi)

Belt going across the bottom (what does that drive, alternator or power steering pump?)

    Mitsuboshi Daihatsu 90048-32095

You say you got your replacement belts from Daihatsu Japan, do you have the contact details which you used please?

    Arigato gozaimasu!

I asked Jessie Streeter to get them from the Daihatsu dealer he knows. If you google long enough, you might be able to find equivalent 3rd party belts... just be wary of cheap chinese knockoffs, go with someone like Gates.

Enter your post code and look for a dealer in your vicinity.
Mitsuboshi is a real company, even if it sounds a bit odd :D
