    Dear All,

I just bought a copen this week! I am extremely happy and enjoys the car but today the ABS light came on and off and on and off.

Starting from this morning, occasionally when I break the break pad pushes up and making a crackling sound but it's still okay to break and step down.

The front break pads and rotor was replaced last week at the boarder's check.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

    Many thanks. 1332343570.jpg

There is a sensor on each wheel that counts teeth on the back of the hub usually.
I'd be checking for damaged cable or plug not connected properly back there.
Also inspect the teeth and sensor to make sure that they haven't been bumped or broken when they changed the rotors

I bet the ABS sensor was the cause of my problems last week after the wheel and driveshaft were removed.

In order not to steal the thread from the OP, I’ve had a quick look on the uk eBay site and can’t find replacement sensors etc but there are plenty of actuators for sale.

Pleased to hear it was a relatively simple fix.
