Hi, i am gatehering as much info as i can before i make my choice. If i get a 1300 i would like to put in the yrv engine in time. But i was thinking and now my question: What are the differences between the 660 and the 1300? obviously the engine.. But what about the gearbox, do they have the same one? Do they have the same subframe? in other words, would the yrv engine also fit the 660 copen? I have seen a guy from australia that fitted the sirion engine to his 660 He said in his youtubeclip that it didnt take that much effort.
You mean the YRV Gtti engine? That only came with an automatic transmission if i recall that correctly. I guess both gearboxes, be it 660 or 1300, can not handle the 130hp of the K3-VET engine
thanx for your reply i realize i wasnt verry clear with my question. I am trying to figure things out so please dont laugh at me.. the info could help us al out. People who have a broken turbo on their 660 have a big problem because the turbos are realy expensive. Why would you pay 1000euros to get another turbo if you can fit a 1300 non turbo from like a sirion or yrv for a couple of hundred euros. More hp and more reliable and safer for the future because those engines are cheap and plentyfull. I am trying to get as much info on this topic as i can -fitting a k3 engine in a 660.. what gearbox options what subframe etc ?? -fitting a k3 turbo engine to a 1300 copen? what are the options with that?? could the k3 non turbo from like a sirion or yrv maybe be fitted to the copen gearbox 660 or 1300? do the 660 and 1300 have the same gearbox? or would you just swap the engine and gearbox complete? The guy from australia fitted a k3 sirion 1300 non turbo in his 660 copen look here for the video do the 1300 and 660 use the same mounting points or did he swap the frame?? with miras you can swap the complete k3 frame from a sirion to the mira.. and how about the copen sard wich was dilivered with the k3 turbo engine was that an automatic or manual gearbox?
