Anyone else spotted a 2014 Copen Robe for sale in Bristol on eBay? Is this even road legal here? I thought it had to go through some form of certification? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daihatsu-...942?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2803ac995e
the sellers posted previously that they were going to. given that they are a proper car dealership i'd imagine they have jumed through all the necessary hoops. shame it's white - i'd love an orange or yellow one in manual rather than the auto they or selling, or better still the paddle shift s version with better shocks, seats and steering wheel.
I'm probably going to sound like an old git but....I think the Robe is a disappointment. The original Copen's appeal is surely its combination of cute looks and retro charm. It's so special and that's why I love it to bits. The Robe, on the other hand, looks clunky, chunky and downright ugly. I especially dislike the "face" of the Robe which, to me, looks like a child's toy from the eighties - like a Transformer, if you know what I mean.
I agree completely, it's not to my taste either, although the styling can be made closer to the original model with the interchangeable body panels. The latest variant of the new model, the Copen Cero, is closer to the original styling.
