    Hi all;

    I seem to be facing this issue with the engine surging/bumping when stopped and in gear. RPM seems to be constant when it happens.

    What happens is that the engine seems to give a bump intermittently if I am stopped. It sends a shudder through the car every time it does that and its getting to be a bit tiresome to shift to neutral. In neutral, the bump seems to disappear.

    Anyone with the same issue and /or cure?

    Its an auto 2006 copen, 659cc model.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Wow you have a rare beast, an automatic Copen!
    As for your issue, can't really help you. I'm guessing here, but it might be an issue with the torque converter.
    Get it to a garage for a check.

    Haha.. Thanks. :D

    BTW, I noticed that the pipe exiting from the intercooler seems to have some oil marks plus gunk where it connects to the intake piping, mainly around the rubber hose.

    Putting my hand in front of the grille(driver side) where the air intake is, I notice a puff of air whenever I rev the engine.

    Is this normal? Or is the intercooler pipe leaking?

    Yep, that sounds like your intercooler pipe is loose or damaged.
