Hi Can anyone give me some advice, due to one of my windscreen wipers has stopped working. But have removed the five plastic plugs, but cannot remove cowl, any suggestions please, quick before it rains!
Hi Limehouselizzy In order to remove the cowl you need to open the bonnet. On page 12-5 of the manual it says the first thing you need is a clip remover. Take off the wiper arms and assembly which means unclipping the cap on each one and a small socket spanner to remove the nut holding the wiper arms on their splines. It may take a little wiggling of the wiper arms to free them from the spines noting the position of the wipers in relation to the windscreen. A small trick is to stick some sticky tap on the windscreen in the position of the wiper blades so that on assembly they go back in the same place. With a small cross head screw driver remove the screws in the clips (5 of them along the scuttle). Using the clip remover prise out the clips holding the cowl in place. You should now be able to lift off the cowl which will be captured in a recess nearest the windscreen. Please take care, keep all metal tools away from the edge of the windscreen. Good Luck.
