Hey guys, I want to get fresh set of wheels for the Copen but i'm stuck for ideas/very peculiar on retaining similar stance. If anyone who has replaced the oem rims could post some photos that would be great! width and size would also be awesome and anything to look out for when changing sizes:) Thanks!!

The car most likely had a suspension upgrade. Most of these upgrades lower the vehicle by around 10 to 15 mm.

The Daihatsu Copen was originally designed for 15-inch wheels with 165/50/R15 tires, giving an overall diameter of approximately 546 mm. I wouldn’t recommend exceeding this value.

The reason I mention this is because I’m using OEM wheels but with 165/55/R15 tires, which increases the overall diameter to 563 mm—about 17 mm more. I've noticed that when I turn the steering wheel fully to the left or right, the front wheels occasionally rub against the front fender liner.

You can use any wheel and tire size—for example, 14-inch wheels to 16-inch — as long as the overall diameter (wheel + tire) remains below 546 mm. As long as this limit is maintained, the car should perform without any clearance issues.

My copen came to me with the official UK Daihatsu 15" minilite alloy upgrade - on the standard 165/50/R15 tyres. I've attached a photo of how these look.

For the sake of my fillings I've since upgraded/downgraded/regraded these to 14" rims with higher profile tyres.

There's lots of wheel/rim size info here to peruse Daihatsu Copen - Specs of rims, tires, PCD, offset for each year and generation

    Hi !
Mine is equipped with a brands new set of Rays Volk Racing TE37 KCR, 5.5x15 ET 40 rims, wrapped with 165/50 15 Nankang NS2-R .
In my opinion, it's almost the best combo for our tiny Copen.
Mine is also lowered, 15mm front and 20mm rear.

I see you also sourced a front lip! Very cool!!! I'm hoping to stumble across those and the side skirts one day.
