hello everyone Hubby is planning on changing engine oil and gearbox oil on bank holiday monday. Can anyone suggest what grades he needs to get. Many thanks princess
Hi Princess, Quoted from the Information manual page B5-3 For the engine oil you need; 5W-30 (API grade SG or higher). I used Magnatec 5W-30 If your changing the oil filter too, you need 2.7l. If your only changing the oil you need 2.5l. Quoted from the service manual page F2-1 Gearbox oil; Transmission gear oil SAE75W{{-}}90 or SAE75W{{-}}85 or SAE75W{{-}}80 (API grade GL3 or GL4) -90 or SAE75W-85 or SAE75W-80 (API grade GL3 or GL4) Total capacity approx. 2.1 - 2.25l
oil change went ok, but he says he needs a filter spanner because its in such an EASY place to get too!!!!! any ideas adam on what he needs?
Ah yes the oil filter is a pain to get to. Check here; http://forums.copenworld.com/showthread.php?t=571 You need to be careful though as non-daihatsu oil filters can be slightly different sizes.
