I got in my little beastie today and all seemed normal.

The only thing I did was change CD. I popped the face off by mistake and couldn't get it turn turn back on to start with.

Pulled up, opened door and warning beep started. I checked the panel, that I hadn't knocked the lights on or anything. Had a walk around just to check nothing was on.

Closed door and locked and it stopped.

So, I thought maybe the CD has caused something, not that that's likely. I know electrical faults can develop on old vehicles for no reason we can see.

No change, opened door, started again. Close door, all good.

So, I tried putting the locks on from the inside just to see if I could get it to stop but to no avail.

Really odd, doesn't anyone have any ideas what it may be reporting? Is there a short or and earth going wrong?

As is stops when the doors locked at least I know there no power draw.

    Just very odd.

Thanks in advance of any thoughts from you folks out there.

Was probably the fog lights button. Hard to notice if the button is depressed. Had a similar panic moment a couple weeks ago.
