Hello, I test drove a yellow Copen recently and absolutely fell in love. That particular car had been used by a smoker for over a decade, had broken bits and quite a bit of rust so I passed but now all I'm seeing available are silver ones with the red interior which I'm not a big fan of. If anyone was considering selling their Yellow Copen, especially if you happen to be in the south east of England, I'd be very interested.
Any idea how much that would cost? I'm not against the idea, although I'd be concerned about covering up rust that might go unnoticed..
Not based in the UK, so I cannot tell you exactly. If you do a respray, the car has to be sanded anyway, any rust should become obvious then. Foil coating is cheaper in general, there are even sets available like on foliatec.com which come with liquid foil you can spray on yourself (Price approx 300 quid for the set, but yellow is not available as a colour). Takes about one full day to prep the car and put it on. If you have to pay 5000 for a yellow one but can get a similar silver one for 3000 then you still have 2000 to spare for a respray and get to have the nice new paintjob as a bonus.
