My daughter fab 1.3 copen is fitted with Bridgestone Re040 165/50...
Before the winter, i think she could do with a new set. However, i have just read a very poor review, on tyre review, about how poor these are in the wet.
I'm not very impressed. What are all your thoughts?

I've never had an issue with the Bridgestone tyre.

never had an issue with any tyre in wet weather - I was told it has more to do with the very light weight of the car, it tends to handle worse on wet roads. I used to buy Bridgestone tyres for it, but there is these tyres by Falken, whcih have a thicker tread - they are also slighly larger than the standard copen tyre, but work really well. And they are cheaper by 40 dollars per tyre
(this is in australia, i dont know about anywhere else)

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but would 195/50/15 fit a copen. Would there be any cons to fitting this tyre size?

I think your proposed tyre size would be a nightmare. I think your tyres would foul when locking the steering left or right. When cornering i think you would get a lot of tyre rolling over the rim, making driving a nightmare.
