I imported mine from Japan, I arranged with my contact to also supply a suitable Flare to fit into the clips also. However the flares should be supplied as used. As it's illegal to send live ones through the post.
Flares are common items in Japan, however there are two sizes. The Copen clips hold the narrower diameter flare.

What do the Japanese use the flares for? Is it instead of a warning triangle when you break down? You walk a few yards back down the road and set off your flare to warn other drivers?
Talking of flares Trustafox always has some in his car.....he wears them.
Somebody should tell him they went out with the seventies. :D

That was like you was setting up your own joke

It sounds dangerous to be letting a flare off in the path of cars. That case on the M5 when the firework smoke caused that big pile up and several deaths. The flares could cause a crash on their own in theory.

Are they not a warning flare in the event of godzilla being spotted? or as we know it, a mackem. :D

I thought it was a mini CO² canister

I like wearing baggies, one of my pair of jeans are quite broad at the bottom.

Aye it was a cheap shot, I now feel terrible, really terrible.:(

I should have taken up acting. I actually kept a straight face typing that.:D

Godzilla probably was a Mackem. Big, powerful, unbeatable and stuff of legends.

I've just looked up the use of these flares which are illegal in the uk.
They are used like a warning triangle and burn like a giant match. Very effective in warning other traffic apparantly.
In Japan if you break down on a level crossing you have to light a flare or two to warn approaching trains. I don't think if I stopped on a railway track I'd be raking around in the boot or footwell looking for flares. :)
