Looking at importing an auto from Japan to the UK.

The main issue I'm a bit concerned about is the readout on the speedo.

I asked the exporter if they could offer advice but they were unable to so I'm throwing this open to members here.

Anyone carried out a swap, if so, was it a straight 'plug and play' or did other items need to be changed too?

You mean that it's in KPH and not MPH? The dials can be swapped out, but are awful pricey - was quoted between £70 and £90 just for the speedo

If you happen to know the top speed on the speedo in KPH, I'm more than happy to swap you my dual MPH/KPH for your KPH. Some of the Jap speedos are way lower than the Euro ones
