So I'm looking into Copens again as a potential track day car (I know it will be slow as sin compared to the usual Clios etc) and I'm wondering how small you can go with the wheels and still fit them over the calipers. Can you go as low as 13"? That would open up part worn Caterham track tyres (185/55R13 and 185/60R13).

What tyre sizes are people running as I'm struggling to find any decent tyres in 165/50R15 in the UK!

The best (and only reasonable) tyres you could get in 165/50/15 73v in the UK are:
Bridgestone Potenza RE040 (Very rare and hard to find, discontinued)(Sports summer tyre)
Nankang NS2-R (Semi-slick) (120 is the track compound)

Wheel size I'm not sure what the smallest you could go is. There isn't a huge amount of brake clearance with the stock 15" wheels.

I've got 14in wheels on mine.
I think I remember someone putting 13in wheels on (steel ones from memory) but they did have to grind the brake calipers for clearance.
