You don't really need a specialist to look after the Copen. It's all pretty standard. You just need to find someone you trust. I found a Japanese car specialist. Thought he was good & trusted him with my Copen. At the last service he overfilled it with oil & the oil filter leaked. I've now found another garage who knew what a Copen was & had serviced one before. He knew about the special way to fit the oil filter on the 659 engine. Any owners in south Wales that can recommend anyone?
Personally, I've always used PONTHIR ROAD SERVICE STATION. They were Daihatsu dealers and I found them cheaper than the ex Cardiff dealer. Pleased to report always had good service, but then, I did buy the car from them.
Thanks ill lether know now. I called a couple local garages when we had a CEL light on last year but they wouldn't touch it We bought the car from Cardiff and they used a place in Roth so that's another option
I think it was CVC in Hadfield Road that were the Cardiff dealers. Never found them very helpful, even when I was looking for a car! Interesting to see on the Daihatsu UK web site, they no longer list a dealer in Cardiff, but Ponthir Road is still on there Rex.
