Got hydraulics sorted so roof opens and closes but need to manually reset the boot lid sliders/ looks each time. Do the rams need to be synchronised if so how do you do it ? Also noticed hinges catch on slider hooks can anyone advise hoe to set ?

    Hi

I have just been through (currently going through) this issue. With mine as the pump failed when my roof was in the boot I had to take it back up manually. Read a lot of info on the net and it stated a number of things to try for the sliders:

    1. Make sure the roof is fully closed (hold the button until it beeps and the light goes out while closing the roof clips) Take the neural terminal off the battery for 5 mins before putting it back on this will reset electrical units and any associated sliders etc then try the roof again

    2. With the roof in the boot manually put it back up (this is a bit of a long winded process but worth a go) this makes you pull the sliders out by hand (using the wires in the purple bag in the boot) so you can lift up the boot lid, once manually closed try the roof again using the button

    3. Short the OBD2 connector under the steering column and read the fault codes if any (lots of posts on here about how to do this) then reset it (again a video on YouTube on how to do this)

    4. And maybe some to try first make sure all moving parts are free from obstruction and are lubricated

Please note I am no expert and trying the above is at your own risk but this is what I have found so far by reading other posts/forums

Hope it is of some use.
