After watching a video on Kei cars I started researching their availability. We have a couple of convertibles in the driveway already (for summer use) but I am really interested in purchasing one of these mini/small/micro cars.
The Copen, the Figaro and The Cappuccino are of interest to me. Although I think out of the three the Copen has the best lines.
Anyway I am interested in a Black (preferably) or White Copen. I would really prefer a LHD versus RHD.
I am located in Ontario, Canada and am in the process of finding out what is required to import one of these cars into Canada.
The Pound seems to be more reasonably priced to the Cdn dollar than the Euro
so I am hoping to find a LHD for sale in the U.K.
Any advice or possible candidates to purchase would be appreciated as well as what to stay away from.
    Thank-you

    Well, that's what I call a challenge.
    :)
No idea about import rules in Canada, but I think the real challenge will be to choose one without even being able to have had a look at it.
Adam K has listed the main points to look out for in the buyers guide.

I think you stand a better chance for finding a LHD (=1.3l engine) in mainland Europe.
    ;)

Actually back in 2008 there was a guy in Germany having imported a RHD-Copen from Canada and tried hard to get it registered in Germany. That Copen was only shown on a number of car shows in Canada. It never was registered for road use in Canada and therefore (for whatever strange regulations here in Germany) could not be registered in Germany without reasonable effort. No idea what happened to that car in the end.....:(
