My remotes signal is getting very weak and sometimes doesn't work, so I figured it probably needs a new battery. At first I thought this would be easy but when I opened it up, the battery was concealed in a plastic box and I don't know how to get into it and it seems to be pretty tight in there. I don't want to risk breaking it because I'm sure it would be very difficult to find a new one.

The owners manual was of no use as it just says to consult a Daihatsu dealer, which for obvious reasons, is quite impossible...

Anyone replaced the battery themselves before and know how to get into it without damaging anything?

Its just some adhesive foil, if you remove it carefully you can replace the battery without damaging the foil, so you can put it on again afterwards
