On both sides, underneath the sill and just in front of the seam underneath the car are drain holes with black circular plastic plugs in. About 6 of them roughly evenly spaced.

But the front one on both sides doesn't have a plug. Is this the usual case or isn't it just mine missing them?

I assume its too allow for drainage but why then are the others plugged? Wondering if I should plug these up or do I run a risk of allowing water to build up in the bottom of the sill.

no photo I'm afraid but it s bit dark out there and didnt have phone with me.

mine doesn't have them in every hole either - still need to buy more of them after breaking one when changing a light.

I must admit I don't recall any plugs missing on the bottom of my sills.

    Morning all,

I have the 2 front plugs missing, one on both of the sills, on my 57 plate. Noticed it a while back when I was rust proofing.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards.

yes it seems the same as mine. I'm still bit curious though

Adam, have a look. The holes are actually rectangluar while the plugs are circular. Not sure what the designer was smoking or when they went into the Toyota parts department they found no square plugs!:)

the small front light next to the headlight - whatever the technical term for that is.
unclip the arch cover, reach inside, twist around a bit and out it comes.
I managed to impress myself changing that!

I'll check mine tomorrow. I don't think I've ever had a look under this car so can't recall any holes or plugs.

Bit tricky to bend down that far with the zimmer. :D

So here are two photos so you can see what the young nimble people have been looking at. The first is the open hole at the front and the second is one bunged. There are 7 locations on total

Are you replying to another thread dsb?

Okay, I have a bung where you have a hole.
Thinking about it, when I fitted my side skirts on. I had to prise a bung out to fit a square block thing that you screwed into. Seems Daihatsu fitted a round peg in a square hole!

you didn't put the removed bung in the front hole by any chance?

or is that one of the extras added to the vivid edition!

Would anyone missing them like to get some replacements?

Well Lotuseater has a 1.3 and so do I. DaG, have a look and see if you fit the trend.

Any other turbo owners going to have a look to see what they have?

Same as yours mate, rectangular hole with no plug in it.
Shining the torch I could see right inside the hole and the inside of the sill has a white coating. That's encouraging I was half expecting to see bare metal.
