when changing my turbo I took the boost unit off but from what I believe mine was hanging not doing anything. There should be a connection made on the side of the throttle body and one on the boost calculating device
Ok, so I worked out what it was. It was the RPM signal wire the flips onto the upper rear of the engine block, just behind the filler cap. Thought I'd update just in case someone else needs the info in future.
