While under the car the other day wrestling with the oil filter, (me 3 oil filter 1) I noticed oil leaking from around the selector shaft. Is the seal replaceable from the outside? Has anyone had this problem?

Sorry don't know, but most selector shafts run inside the gear housing and it's usually just a dowty seal (or two) inside the housing to change. Usually need to drain the gearbox first though before removing selector rod.

I noticed this on mine yesterday whilst tightening up the alternator belt.

It seemed more like grease than oil to me?
