    Good Morning Copenistas,

I have only had one oil filter change since purchasing the car and my local garage charged me twice what it would have cost for a 'normal' car. (Actually when I called to find out if the car was ready I could hear the mechanic in the background swearing at the little chap!)

So I have decided to do it myself but I need to know which oil filter removal tool to use. Apparently the Diahatsu tool is over £60.00 but Laser do a range of tools for a fraction of the costs the question is which one?

I also need to know where to purchase the 'short' filter and again your advice would be gratefully received.

    Ned

It depends on the oil filter you are using, so I can't give you a 100% answer. It's most likely either the 65 or 68mm for nearly all filters

I buy my genuine Daihatsu filters from sg petch - not as cheap as a generic one but that goes with the territory.

I had a similar problem finding the wrench, but I found a good one and posted the details today. I use the genuine 68mm Daihatsu one. Good luck
