Does anybody have any idea what was the cause of this new rusting and corrosion in the interface between the boot lid and the body panel? It appears that there used to be a rubber gasket/boot that prevented the two panels from rubbing and that has been worn away?

Would anybody know how to fix/rectify this? Is my assessment incorrect?

Hi, I have my Copen for few months now, and I also noticed this, but on mine it's much worse. Body lines are not matching between the body and the lid.
I think that boot lid sits too low and then it rubs that quarter panel when opening.
I was not able to solve this yet, I am too scared to mess with roof mechanism which is working fine.
