I wrote some time ago about a loud knock (like a stone hitting glass) coming from the right upper? side of our 1.3 Copen when hitting a bump or pothole. This is only when the roof is up. Thinking now could it be inside the door. Has anyone else had this problem. Local dealer is last hope outside the club forum. I have checked the roof tension and clips and have no rattles or other noises. Just this loud knock. Is our car the only one with this problem. Hope someone out there has had this and know the cure.
If the noise is only when the roof is up then it's pretty well certain it's coming from the roof. My roof had a bit of a rattle like noise when I went over a bump that I could only hear when the roof was up. I found the roof lining wasn't secured properly to the roof above the passenger seat. I applied pressure to the lining and it snapped back into whatever held it to the roof. That ended the noise.
