Hi everyone - greetings from the UK. It's good to meet you! I have just bought a silver Copen .66 with black fabric seats. It's an 04 with 64,000 miles on the clock and a full service history, so hopefully the engine and turbo are in good condition. It has some evidence of rust on the rear wheel arches which has been repaired - but I don't know yet if it has been repaired properly, or if is full of filler. There is some rusty discolouration on the bottom of the sills too, but it all seems quite solid - again, hopefully it's not too bad. The only other fault I can see is that the seat on the drivers side is quite worn where the driver gets into and out of the car. I am going to have a look around and see if I can find a couple of seats which I can use to replace them, but not the red ones - they are just to bright for my tastes. Looking forward to the summer now!
Hi Shane, Welcome to the forum. What a great time to buy with summer just round the corner. Tinkering and restoring is all part of the joy of ownership. There is plenty of great advice and support from the members here.
Welcome to Copenworld. The red seats do grow on you There were some Vivid special edition copens with black leather seats with red piping that are really nice but also very rare.
I would prefer them in a less vibrant red, the sort of red old English sport cars used to use. But it's all in the eye of the beholder I guess.
