OMG!!!!!!! time to shove breakfast down and get out in the copen - maybe even roof down .....?? okay I am english and mad when it comes to seeing sunshine.... might even take some pictures of the very flooded thames around me.
it is nice isn't it? went over the local Tesco with the roof down just to get the paper, coming back took a long diversion via the riverfront to check out what the marina looks like after the flooding - it was just nice to zoom about in the sunshine with the roof down and some 1990s german techno banging out with my subwoofer
Brilliant sunshine up here in the wastelands of the north east. I'm full of cold though so I'm staying in watching wheeler dealers on Discovery Turbo. Wish I hadn't lost my beartrapper hat. A warning. Be careful what you put in the door pockets, hats and such like easily fall out when you open the door.
YEP - gorgeous weather - didnt even need my coat with the heated seats unfort I found some rust on the car :-(-(( however - took a pic by hampton court bridge - really high water still
Where did you find the rust Copencat?? I've been looking at my MLC and there are some bubbles in the middle of the rear wheel arches.....looks expensive On the the other hand today was just such a lovely day.....we went shopping for wedding clothes for my son (the groom) and me (Old Fat Badger). Incredibly we found a suit for Paul (the groom) and for me!! In one day! Result!! We did real male shopping - one shop, first outfit - done!! AND our outfits were approved by the (relevant) ladies. Major hurdle overcome.
there are a few rust/bubbles threads here - I know Princess suffered really badly with hers. mine is here https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?p=12613#post12613 gosh that is organised on the shopping front - well done! weddings are so exciting - i have my sisters in april, my husbands cousin in july (which is in canada so we are not going) and my step cousin who is in august. I was never into weddings until I went to my own LOL! but now I cant wait for more - love the excitement and the atmosphere.
My Fiancé keeps going on about our wedding in July 2015. Don't know what all the fuss is about & its ages away!
no fuss - but it is really really great, like i really didnt believe the hype, but really really really great. I couldnt believe how well it went considering some of the things that went on. I happen to organise for a living so I didnt do it for my own wedding - and it still went well so you know! you cant control things like the weather! tell her to avoid wedding websites - they give you worries you never thought you could worry about - but it is good for checklists to make sure you vaguely organise everything you need. I am however an expert in hymns and photographers. oh and shoes... but you know that anyway!
More shopping today and we got the finishing touches for Mrs Old Badger's outfit, I.e. Shoes, bag and hat. Dress already sorted. Pretty good going, ehh? Luckily met bride-to-be in the shop by chance and she gave the thumbs up to the outfit thus taking pressure off poor Old Badger who was required to give his opinion re colour matching Still all done now. Must admit I agree with you Copencat that weddings are great. But maybe one of the reasons that I'm looking forward to the wedding is that we already have 100 bottles of champagne under the bed in spare bedroom Getting back to Copens, today I took MLC to local body shop to get them to give rust the once over. Not as bad as I'd feared, the guy thinks that no new panels are required and that he can weld in new steel. I agreed that he would do the two leading sills (behind front wheels), the rear right wheel arch and the bits of rust under the rubber boot seal. He wants 400 squid, maybe more once he gets off the bumpers, etc. and has a good look at what's going on underneath. I told him the car's a keeper and that I want it all fixed. Hope he's on the level MLC goes in next Monday and should be ready in a week. I'll post progress reports in due course
what good luck - i know how anxious people can get when it comes to outfits and colour matching. I once worked as a colour matcher but was surprised when I found out how subjective colours can be. Did you know as you get older you loose your ability to pick up magenta? only 100 bottles this is Princess' car with her rust issues. https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=1694&page=4 im waiting for payday...
We have just been for a cruise along Southend sea front. Not quite as tranquil as your pictures look! It was busier than a sunny August bank holiday
Screw the car, can I have the girl? Back on topic - drove around today myself as well. Didn't go too mad, as I just wanted a half hour to an hour drive as I've not turned mine over in about a month. Even got to see a horse munching on grass in a housing estate!
I'm holding back on taking off he winter tyres for just a little longer, I'm quite liking the mini lites on the car Especially as it was almost exactly a year ago that our Figaro was written off in icy conditions after two drivers crashed into it, so I'm not being fooled by a bit of sun just yet
It's jut a 'blur' tool in a photo editor app, I used photogene2 for iPhone/iPad in this instance, but it does bring focus on the primary subject rather than all the clutter of a background distracting from what is of interest... Garry Ps: let me clarify that statement, the clutter of a background of a garage door etc... Your scenic outlook adds plenty to your pictures, don't go messing with a blur tool on those!
