    Hello,

I am new on this forum. I own a Copen 1.3 GT for 3 years now have some trouble with the trunk. The trunk is "clicking", iron against iron while I opening it (at the end of the trunk, the thinnest part of the trunk near the doors).

When i pull the trunk back while opening the "clicking" is gone. I noticed the seal between the trunk and back is a bit worn so I am not sure if its damaged or just worn.

I am curious how a new one looks like. So can someone please post a picture of the seal without worn?

Attached is a picture of the seal.

    Thank you in advance,

hello Klaasvaak. Welcome to the forum. Sorry nobody has been able to answer your question. The answer is probably not that a picture of a new seal would help, but that your trunk lid needs adjusting if there is metal against metal. I have only adjusted my trunk lid up and down, not fore and aft, so I'm not in the position to be able to offer you instructions.

My trunk lid at the point you highlighted in your photo has a 5-7mm gap, although looking at the fit of the rear quarter panel and the lid, it looks like the lid on my Cop could do with adjusting forwards a couple of mm. but then it would seem to come too close to the rear window panel seal. So these things can only be adjusted by somewhat crude increments IMO. But your trunk lid could definitely do with adjusting backwards. It may be as simple as loosening the bolts that hold the trunk lid to the hinge assembly, if there is any adjustment in that section.

    Hope that helps.
