Hi guys, owner of a 2008 1.3 Copen here.

Recently, a rattling noise has started to plague my engine regardless of how long it's left to sit. Upon further inspection, I noticed the water pump pulley shaking the belt around.

I just wanted to ask, do I have to take out the engine to deal with the water pump pulley? Or is there some sort of way to deal with it without going through all that ruckus? :sweating:

edit: I don't want to necro-bump this thread, but I got this fixed by a garage instead of fixing it myself. Instead of going through the wheel well, they just taken the entire front of the car off to install the water pump which was broken. £1,000 fix in total:cry:

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
I think it's possible to change the water pump without taking the engine out, but you will probably have go via the wheel well and it will not be an easy job because it's a tight place
