Hi, does anybody know how often you should change the spark plugs (either milage or time) on 0.7 Copen?
    Thanks
    Liz

It depends on the type of spark plugs. The iridium ones are about every five years. Copper ones, every year.

important to check them - a cracked spark plug wrecked my copen beyond economical repair.

I changed the plugs on our 1.3 when we first bought it. Had done about 50,000 miles at the time. The old plugs had virtually nothing left on the electrodes. They were ready just to snap off at any time. The book said they had last been changed at 32,000 miles but I have my doubts.

    Hello Number6 ;)
I'm surprised that you "define" time to replace sparks like that (n)
On manual, it is said that it depends on mileage, and not "age".
As far as I know, irridium sparks plugs have to be changed after 60000 km/40000 mil for instance. Never heard about 5 or 6... years :(
Do you confirm your information ?
Good time with Copen to everybody :)

    If it helps...
My Copen 1.3 serviced at 19000 - plugs were in badly worn state and were changed.
In the grand scheme of things, they're not that expensive so I'm getting them checked every service and replaced if looking worn.

I'm assuming the standard 10k km per year (at least that's the rough standard in Ireland), so 5 years is roughly the same amount of distance as 60k km :)

I do a grand total of about 5k km per year in my Copen, so I base a huge chunk / most of my servicing off time as opposed to distance.
