With imports of new Copens (at least to the UK) currently on hold due to the poor exchange rate with the Japanese Yen, and the rate of VAT set to rise from January 2010, it seems inevitable that the price of a new Copen will increase in 2010.

It raises the question: how much is a new Copen worth?

Vote in our new poll to tell us how much you would be willing to pay for a shiny new bundle of joy to arrive on your driveway.

The UK price is quoted for reference. Convert the price to your own currency if you live elsewhere.

That was the price of a brand new Copen here in Norway when it launched here in 2008. About the same as a standard Golf. I don´t think they sold all that many of them though, it was discontinued the following year. I paid 17000 for mine, two years old and 10000 miles on the clock.

    And I love it.

Sorry, let me get this right, the cost of a New Copen in 2008 was GBP 28,000! A second hand vehicle with 10,00 miles on the clock cost GBP 17,000?

I notice you mention the fact that they were discontinued after a year, is there a demand for the Copen in Norway now?

    You guys are lucky

In RSA we have import taxes and duties and... and... and the list price ends up to be GBP 17'700 or ZAR 220'000. (seems like same as Norway) Good low mileage second hand goes go for ZAR 130'000.00 (GBP 11'000.00) if you can find one. To put into perspective a brand new top of the range Ford Fiesta 1.6 is R210'000.00

I've bought mine, in 2006, at USD 31,000 (exchange rate at that time). I thought we're paying the most in the world for Copens!

I heard the 660cc are around USD 13,000 in Japan?
