    So after get to knowing about buyee.jp from another member;

    I have decided to go online to purchase a descent air intake system

    so I can replace my factory air filter. Since one single air filter will cost me

    NZD550 and it doesn't come with the engine block.

    It took nearly 5hours to get it fitted since I'm a first timer.........yeah?

    After fitting I went for a test drive and I could hear turbo 3 x louder than before.

    And also it sounded like I have placed after market blow off valve.

    Is this normal?

    We bought our Copen with that filter already fitted.

    Yes, it does sound just like a blow off/dump valve... :)

    Possibly none. maybe 1 hp. With you having a turbo doesn't it control the boost pressure so you won't get higher pressure with a "performance" air filter. Remember your cylinders are still the same volume so they pull in the same volume of air. If you have a system that is very restrictive then removing the restriction could increase power as the piston may not pull in all the air possible but to restriction, but again with a turbo you have higher pressure so the air forces into the cylinder. What you can notice is improve response.
    From what I've read is that an air filter doesn't make as much as the adverts claim. On a 65hp, 1 hp would be a big percentage increase.

    Moog and Marty don't think you get anything!

    Can you post a vid of it please budd?
    I'm thinking of getting the missis one next year. Can't see it giving any extra oomph (might even give less power.....had that happen before!) but if it makes a nice induction noise then worth it!

    Has the CEL light flashed at all or all good?

    I just got mine fitted also! Sounds good! However, I can't determine whether there is any increase in power because I just found out I have a tear in one of my pipes cause boost to leak. Now I'm waiting anxiously for replacement aluminium pipes to come in.
