Hi! Just to let you guys know there is a new Copen owner out on the roads of 'glorious' sunny Brum (cough, cough). So chuffed with my little car (59 reg)I feel I should put a neon sign on it when I have parked pointing and telling everyone "Isn't this the best little car you have seen round here - bet you wished you had one too"? Can't wait for an actual non raining/freezing cold day when I can actually get the top down. On a more sensible note...Are there things I should/could I be doing to look after my Copen over the winter as I will be using it all the time. Any tips and hints to protect its loveliness?
Hi Kate, Welcome to Copenworld. Congratulations on your new Copen. If you want to look after your Copen & protect it from the winter, have a read of this thread: https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=535&highlight=rust+protection Wash it regularly to wash the salt off it. Give it a good wax to protect the paint. Go around the car with a touch pen to sort any chips out. Get an old toothbrush to clean out the front of the rear wheel arch, there's a nice area that collects stones & dirt.
Hi Kate! I'm in Leicester but I visit my daughter quite often in Selly Oak. She's at Brum University. So if ever you see a little grey Copen pootling around on the M6 or the A38 it's probably me.
Thanks Adam this is really helpful I will be off to buy some toothbrushes from the pound shop tomorrow AND Quibbles I'm an old Birmingham Uni student myself who has lived in Bournville most of my life so no doubt I will see you around! Small world eh?
