Hi! I'm currently living in Japan, for the last year I've been in Okinawa but I'll be moving to mainland soon and will need to sell my car and buy a new one up there. I currently own a 2003 Toyota WiLL Cypha which is a cute little car too by US standards, but much bigger than a Copen. I was planning on switching to a kei car to save on everything (shaken/JCI, gas, etc.) and when I found that the Copen is a kei car I was ecstatic! I've wanted one since I first saw one here. I was planning on getting something super practical... I figure as a single guy owning a cute little convertible which women find adorable is about as practical as it can get! So I'm just here looking and dreaming and getting ideas from the awesome work people have done... It appears that they start at about 450K ¥ here (about 4.5K USD), and since they're owned by Japanese people chances are high that they're well maintained. I'm not meaning to stereotype, it's just that my experience so far here is that things get done, and get done correctly, so I would be surprised not to see a fully documented service history. That's a bit more than I intended to spend since my contract is only 5 years, but worth it I think for owning something so perfect! As the Japanese would say: とてもかわいいです！！！ (really cute!!!) Hopefully soon I'll be cruising around Tokyo in my little Copen. I'll wave to the west, where it looks like most of you are, and to the south too for you strange Aussies!

Thanks for the welcome, Adam, looking forward to the kill more than the hunt, but it's all good sport, hmm? Hi dsb, the car is going to spend all day on the road since I do home visits for work, so a new car would get chewed up and lose its value quickly with all the km I'll be putting on.
