Hi guys and gals, I have recently discovered these cute little machines and am wanting to purchase a nice little yellow red leather 659cc model. Does anyone have any tips for me before I take the plunge, ie can you actually work on them yourselves? Or do the garages have you by the preverbials? Any advice greatly received Darryl.
Welcome to the forum Darryl. Check the car has been serviced regularly. Oil needs changing every 3000 miles. Filter every 6000 miles. The turbo dosen't like old oil. Check for rust on the top of the rear arches & the front edge of the sills. A simple service is easy enough. You do need the right oil filter wrench to do the job. The filter is tricky to get to. There is a knack to fitting/removing it. That's the basic information. Have a good mooch through the site. There's a lot of information. Good luck with your search.
