    Hello All,

I've been given a Copen. I thought this was a good thing until it wouldn't start, despite running fine the day before.

It sounded like very low compression, so out with the compression tester. Cylinders 1 & 4 were showing 60 psi yet 2 & 3 were both reading 150 psi.

Squirt of oil down 1 & 4, wait, attempt to start, runs. Take it for a blast, fine. Not one hiccup nor misfire. Back home, switch off, re-starts fine. Next day, won't start!

Constructive advice welcomed and apologies if this is a part of Copen ownership known to everyone, but this is my first (but hopefully not my last) experience of these modern MG Midgets.

Used to have a White Copen, but I sold it in 2023
    Welcome to Copenworld!

My kind of obvious diagnosis woul be piston rings

Have never heard of a problem like this before
What kind of engine is it, the turbo one?

    How old, mileage, service history?
