I am sure that I am not the first silly idiot to do this ... I put the roof down with baggage (a 30L day sac) in the boot (on top, unfortunately, of the plastic screen in the boot) the roof nearly fitted in (but not quite) and the boot lid nearly closed (but not quite - leaving a 3 inch gap. Now the boot won't open. I understand that there is a manual over-ride - is this something that I can do myself or should I let a Daihatsu garage do it? Any help much appreciated. Best regards Mark (an idiot !!)

Yes you can do it yourself, it's in the manual if you have it, or download it from the resources section on here.

I've gotten in the habit of always taking the boot screen off no matter what I'm putting in, even for short journeys, after I managed to squash my shopping coming home from Morrisons when the sun came out. :p

Good to know. The only problem is that I cannot find it in the manual. Could you tell me which section or even better which page?

I've found it !!! 10-20 onwards. Now I've just got to follow the instructions correctly. Any dos and don'ts would be much appreciated - please post before tomorrow morning as I will try doing the job when it's light ...
