Hi, so we finally found a 2004 Copen Auto after hunting for over 2 years. The wife has always wanted one so just bought a recently imported Copen, only to find out there was an intermittent problem with the roof operation, thought it was the rear boot mechanism so replaced it and still no joy. Have got the codes for the roof ecu, 21,22,24 and 25 i am completely at a loss of what to do, any advice would be great or possibly the name of some one who can fix it. The car has covered 50,000 miles and is really tidy,no rust and runs great, only imported in june. It’s drivable but the alarm is constantly on due to the roof problem thanks Mike
No easy matter. It might be worth having a look at How to fix copen roof Fault codes 21 and 22 ( also 31 32 11 12 33 ) Also the full operations manual for the Copen can be donload from this site which and provides a full account of roof operations and fault codes. 21 and 22 refer to the sensors on the rams and 24/25 could, among other things, be the center look disagreeing with the ram sensors. The only people I know who have proficiency with Copen roofs are Quenby's in Letchworth. But that's a long way from Swindon.
